F5 manufactures an application delivery controller appliance called F5 BIG-IP that comes with a Local Traffic Manager (LTM) module and this training is designed to make sure administrators know how to navigate their interfaces, manage their implementations, and customize their operations. Software-defined networking depends on F5 equipment and their ADCs.

F5 Application Delivery Controller FAQs: Cost, Training, Value
Network engineers are the best audience for this course, but network administrators and even server administrators could benefit from this F5 ADC training. If you currently work with – or could work with – F5 equipment in your everyday job, especially the F5 BIG-IP ADC appliance, this training is for you.
No, this F5 BIG-IP Application Delivery Controller training was originally designed to help learners pass the F5 BIG-IP certification exam. But since F5 retired the specific exam this course was tied to, it's no longer a perfect match for that test. The material is still extremely helpful for administrators, though.
The Certified Administrator (F5-CA) is a good certification to start with after taking this course in managing ADCs with F5 technology. If you're already advanced in your career, you might set your sights on the Certified Technical Specialist (F5-CTS), which F5 split into four different emphases based on speciality.
You should take this course because Application Delivery Controllers are finicky and tricky appliances to master. Learning how F5 implements ADCs won't just make you better on F5 networks, but you'll be a more knowledgeable and experienced administrator in general – on your way to becoming a network engineer.
